Willen Hospice provides specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. This care is provided in people’s homes and at Willen Hospice which is set alongside Willen Lake.
Amy, Gemma, Sam, Matt & Mel decided that they would like to volunteer at Willen Hospice in their warehouse in Kiln Farm and Grafton Gate Outlet Shop.
The team were set to work sorting through the bags of donations that are received every day, anything that can’t be sent to their charity shops is recycled. The team were made to feel very welcome by everyone and thoroughly enjoyed joining the happy workforce.
Volunteering is an important part of helping our community and I know the team are looking forward to returning.
