Achieving For Children

We began working with Achieving for Children (AFC) following the award of the contract in 2020. AFC required the streamlining of their existing process to increase efficiency in the hiring of temporary agency staff but also to provide visibility, transparency, and a better reporting suite to provide them with more control.

The Problem

AFC were managing the hiring of their temporary staff through two providers; this made the collection of data and mandating contracts difficult. This lack of control in collecting data meant that it was difficult for AFC to analyse any data and diminished their control over the contract. They also faced geographical issues and the differing requirements for staff at each location.

The Solution

In order to streamline the current processes that Achieving for Children already had, we worked to consolidate them in order to provide better visibility and restore control over the contracts. Our reporting system allows for real time reporting enabling AFC to analyse data as and when required.

Matrix incorporated bespoke supply chains for each geographical location and held immersion days to identify areas in which Hiring Managers were struggling or concerned about supply.

We also held supplier forums in order to introduce new and existing suppliers to Hiring Managers and to outline Achieving for Children’s requirements.

The Results

The Outcome

We streamlined processes and provided AFC with a single use platform that integrated with their current systems and allowed them to regain control and visibility over their contracts. We built tailored supply chains that were capable of supplying high quality staff despite geographical issues.
