Marie Curie

We have worked with Marie Curie since the award of the contract in 2018. Marie Curie required temporary agency staff across multiple sites in the UK with some of them being remote or isolated locations.

The Problem

The issue of isolated and remote locations meant that many of the units under Marie Curie felt they were detached from the organisation as a whole. They did not have a robust supply chain in place that catered for the geographical locations that required staff. This meant that many shifts were not covered and for those that were filled, they were being overcharged.

The Solution

We were able to engage with local suppliers as well as the Marie Curie’s pre-existing supply chain. Taking a pro-active approach with building this meant that we were able to identify new suppliers to enrol, in order to ensure a high performing supply chain.

We also held immersion days which provided support to Hiring Managers in understanding the system and how it would work.

We also understood the importance of providing savings for Marie Curie and we standardised the rates of all suppliers in order to stop them from over charging.

The Results

The Outcome

Providing all units with 24/7 communication and direct contact with our account management team we were able to reduce the feel of detachment. We were able to double the amount of suppliers on their supply chain increasing their fulfilment of shifts even to the most remote locations. We also standardised the supplier rates which ensured no over charging and consistent savings.
