Basic Criminality Check for Individuals

Description

A Basic Criminality Check provides information about any unspent criminal convictions recorded for an individual at the time the check is completed.

The check is conducted through the Disclosure and Barring Service. Where the individual’s employment is based in Scotland, a Basic disclosure will be conducted through Disclosure Scotland.

Digital candidate identity verification is included as part of the application and verification process.

This check can be purchased online on a pay-as-you-go basis for an individual candidate or occasional requirement.
