BS 7858 Pre-Employment Screening

Description

Our BS 7858-compliant Pre-Employment Screening Package is designed to help organisations screen candidates for security-sensitive responsibilities in line with the BS 7858 standard.

It is particularly relevant for positions where security, trust and confidentiality are paramount, including roles within financial institutions, government contractors, private security firms and critical infrastructure.

The package includes:

• Digital Right to Work – UK – Right to work in the UK check including government-approved Digital Identity checks to digitally verify your candidate.
• Activity History Verification – 5 Year – Validation of a candidate’s full activity History verifying employment, self-employment, contracting or any other paid activity including any gaps via Open Banking, Payroll or HMRC data. Any periods of education declared will be verified by educational institutes or documentation.
• Financial Probity Check – 5 Year – A search of publicly recorded financial information including County Court Judgements, Individual Voluntary Arrangements, bankruptcies, Debt Relief Orders and their Scottish equivalents to identify potential vulnerabilities such as poor financial management, or risk of bribery or corruption.
• Basic Criminality Check – UK – A Basic criminality check conducted by the DBS or DS providing information on any unspent criminal convictions recorded.
• International Sanctions & PEP Check – A cross reference of the individual against profiles from over 1,500 trusted sources to identify if they are subject to any regulatory or governmental sanctions, a politically exposed person or the subject of legal enforcement actions.

As part of the activity history verification, relevant employment, self-employment and education activity is checked. Gaps in activity exceeding 30 days are also verified.

This package can be purchased online on a pay-as-you-go basis for an individual candidate or occasional BS 7858 screening requirement.
